I'm not sure I'd really call sprawl a sign of an increased standard of living, but that's just me.

In any case, if you were to engage in an honest study of the history of cities, you'd find there is no single cause for things as complex as sprawl.

This film is one of the better shortcuts to actual rational thought. However, it is good entertainment, worth seeing for sure.

How formulaic: Giant Corps vs. the People. I keep forgetting; wasn't it white people fleeing the cities from blacks that caused sprawl? Now it's GM and oil co's? Nevermind the technological advancement of society and the economic realities of an increased standard of living, let's just blame somebody. Oh, and conviently ignore high density areas where PT works like NY, CHI and Boston. I love the romanticism, though, Putin needs to hire these guys.

I can't go see it. I'll just get too pissed off.

I already know about most of what's in the film, so I guess that's a good thing...
