I guess the sad part is these franchises have enough patronage and leverage to float commercial real estate around here. Sad, because most fast food franchises suck to begin with, and then they bump real estate, to boot.

Take this article, for example. I see the list as “Chik-Fil-A, Waffle House, Popeye’s, and a whole lot of suck.”

The happy part is, Atlanta is full of fools eager to be parted with their money. So these guys get to stay in business.

Fast Company had a great article recently about how fast food chains stamp the grill marks on their chicken breasts. Chick-Fil-A is the only one that actually makes things in-house and really grills its chicken. Mickey-D’s could never compare.
