The rumor was that Jocks and Jills was going to move down the street to the new development going up on Dresden - I wonder what happened to that idea?

Dekalb doesn’t have mixed use zoning? I thought that was the description for the new complexes on Dresden just down the road from the station. Maybe not the official designation, but surely the in-effect description. No?

That would require DeKalb County to have a mixed use zoning classification which they don’t. Do I hear annexation petition anyone?

All that simply means is the strip mall is ripe for redevelopment. Being across from the rail station makes it an especially good site for mixed-use.

The owners of Brookhaven Station may be letting leases expire for this purpose.

The question, then, is whether the county commission would be supportive of a rezoning, if that hasn’t already been done.
